Ambeon - Ambeon

Well this is a well-known album, entirely sung by Astrid Van der Veen when she was only 14 years old and produced by Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon) the album is pretty melodic and the lyrics are beautiful, and the performance of the young singer is just great, even when she remains at a "safety zone" regarding the tones, but her voice is beautiful, personally when one I like the most is "Lost Message" the folky tune it's just great, so please again... enjoy!

Este disco es bastante conocido, es un proyecto del conocido Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon) y Astrid Van der Veen que contaba en ese tiempo con apenas 14 años, el album es bastante melódica y las letras son hermosas y el desempeño de la joven cantante es simplemente genial, aún cuando siempre se mantiene en una zona de confort en lo que a su voz concierne, sin ambargo es bella, personalmente la canción más notoria para mi es "Lost Message" con su sonido folk, así que de nuevo .... salud!

Miranda Sex Garden - Fairytales of Slavery

OK, in the beggining this band originary from London, was a trio of madrigal singers, wiht the pass of the tome it was inevitable the experimentation, and Fairytales of Slavery is the living example of it, the cd id full of contrasts and tons of sound varieties, im comparision of their first producition Madra that was only A Capella, in here we listen a major risk in the sound, the percussion is just great, plus a great variety of new sounds, the voives are just celestial, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did...

OK, en principio esta banda originaria de Londres, era un trio de cantantes de madrigal, con el paso del tiempo fue inevitable la experimentación y Fairytales of Slavery es el vivo ejemplo de eso, el disco está lleno de contrastes, y mucha variedad de sonidos, esto contrapuesto a su primera producción Madra que era solamente canto a capella, aqui vemos una experimentación mucho mayor, las percusiones del disco son geniales, además una gran variedad de nuevos sonidos, las voces celestiales igual que siempre, espero que lo disfruten y lo gocen al igual que yo.

Ataraxia - Lost Atlantis

O.K, here we go with the tenth production from the italian band Ataraxia, this record, from my tight point of view of course, it's a momentum in the whole band line of composing, we had always seen Ataraxia going from the Neo-classical to the Neo-Medieval, but this cd shows itself a little more atmospheric, escaping from this both sub-genres, same way we see that this band after 10 production hasn't lost its freshness and innovation, making good proposals for its fans, the guitars are good enough, and you can ask for more from the voices of Francesca Nicoli and Vittorio Vandelli, the vocals run from the peaceful and quiet to the schizophrenic, a very nice disc to enjoy with a coffee and a good cigarrette.

Vamos con el décimo disco de la banda italiana Ataraxia, este disco a mi parecer es una pauta entre los discos anteriores, ya que siempre hemos visto a Ataraxia andar entre los lados del Neo-clásico y el Neo-medieval, sin embargo, este disco se muestra un poco más atmosférico escapando a esas dos nominaciones, igual vemos que para tener ya 10 producciones en su haber este grupo sigue innovando y haciendo buenas propuestas, las guitarras como siempre majestuosas, a la voz de Francesa Nicoli y Vittorio Vandelli no se le puede pedir más, las voces van de lo apaciguado a lo esquizofrénico, muy buen disco para disfrutar.

Calle della Morte - Tardo Autunno

This is the first production of the band Calle della Morte an italian group that try to take us (the foreigners) to live the experience of Venezia, quite ambiental, even the sounds of a pub, toasting drinks and everything, worth listening to it, enjoy!

Esta es la primera producción del grupo italiano Calle della Morte en la que según ellos mismos, la intención del disco es transportarnos (especialemente los que nunca hemos andado por allá) a vivir la experiencia de Venecia, el disco es increíblemente ambiental, incluso hay un interludio en una de las canciones donde se puede oir a la gente hablando y brindando en una especie de cantina, es verdaderamente bueno, el trabajo de esos dos muchachos es genial tanto en música como en letra, pero bueno basta de hablada y gocen el disco.

Nenia C'alladhan - Nenia C'alladhan

The not so well-known folk project of Anna Varney Cantodea, vocalist of Sopor Aeternus, and Constance Fröhling, the cd takes us away from the glommy sounds of Sopor Aeternus with more warm sounds and soft colors without losing any of the esence of Anna, certain sounds or tones reminds us of that neo-classical baroque constant in most of the Anna Varney records.

El al parecer no tan conocido proyecto folk de Anna Varney Cantodea, vocalista y mente de Sopor Aeternus & the Emsemble of Shadows, pero esta vez de la mano con Constance Fröhling, este proyecto es muy bueno es una opción razonable para alejarse talvez un poco de los sonidos tan oscuros de Sopor Aeternus, ya que nos otorga sonidos más cálidos y colores más suaves, pero eso sí sin perder esa quintaesencia de este andrógino compositor, ya que ciertos momentos del disco traen esa constante de sonidos neo-clásicos y barrocos en todos los discos de Anna Varney.

Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble of Shadows - Dead Lovers Sarabande Face 1

Well this is my first recomendation, the sopor aeternus creation "Dead Lovers Sarabande face 1" is just beautiful, the drone, depressive ambient, blows away your mind, with that nice and clean baroque sound, plus some well finished lyrics, vocals and the dreamy interpretation of The Sleeper of Edgar Allan Poe and a well elaborated art, dedicated to Rozz Williams, this cd is a MUST, one of the very best opus of Anna Varney and his/her ensemble of Shadows.

Bueno gente (lol) esta es mi primera recomendación, la creación de Sopor Aeternus and the Emsemble of Shadows, Dead Lovers Sarabande face 1, la verdad a mi parecer es por mucho la mejor creación de este grupo hasta la fecha, es simplemente hermoso el ambiente oscuro, lúgubre, casi en momentos hasta nauseabundo que emana es simplemente genial, siempre destacando ese sonido barroco de la mayoría de sus composiciones, la onírica interpretación que hace del poema de Edgar Allan Poe, The Sleeper, es simplemente majestuosa, este disco es definitivamente un deber en toda galeria musical, leyendo por ahí me encontré con el hecho que es dedicado al difunto Rozz Williams, vocalista de la banda de gótico Christian Death, así que disfruten esta pieza de arte porque vale muchísimo la pena
