Hoy les traigo Jazz Fusion! a cargo de esta virtuosa e increíblemente creativa pianista que se codea con Chick Corea y básicamente con cualquier persona que esté consolidada ya en ese submundillo de daño cerebral. Saludos, mequetrefes. Con el segundo aire que tomó el Marino Zoquete después de darse cuenta de que llevaba meses confinado a un hoyo funky de perdición y mala música, el blog ha vuelto y con él vuelvo también a las contribuciones.

Quedan con Billy Cobham, ex-baterista de The Mahavishnu Orchestra, con sangre Panameña y un nivel de tecnicismo que hará explotar sus entrañas a punta del siempre bizarro jazz fusion.

Para seguir con los muchachos de Don Caballero ahora el What Burns Never Returns, para este disco me voy a quitar la resposabilidad de hacer un comentario, el disco es brutalmente bueno, es el disco donde se nota la verdadera agilidad de Ian Williams haciendo efectos, y destruyendo pedaleras, lo cual esto se convertiría en la firma de este guitarrista, así que lo dejaré a sus oídos ver la calidad de este material venido desde Pittsburgh. Enjoy.

Don Caballero - American Don

Qué mejor forma de comenzar que con buen Math Rock, para los que lo desconocen Don Caballero es una agrupación estadounidense de math rock, y son putamente buenos, sus guitarras (ese tappin!), las baterias imposibles de Damon Che, todo es una amalgama de complejidad y musicalidad. En esta ocasión pues iremos con el American Don, entregado a nosotros ya hace casi 12 años, y considerado el último verdadero disco de Don Caballero, al menos el último donde toda su alineación original, y como todos los anteriores no decepcion, más bien impresiona, desde la canción Fire Back About Your New Baby's Sex con la que se abre el disco hasta Let's Face It Pal, You Didn't Need That Eye Surgery el disco es pomposo, cuidadoso, y da al oyente.
